We’re delighted to offer this impressive RS 2000 which we’ve known for some time.  Having been instrumental in helping the owner acquire the car in 2019, it has competed in a couple of UK road-rallies in his ownership, but a change of plans for motorsport in 2021 means it’s now available.

Prepared by Rally guru, Kevin Savage, this car boasts a genuine AVO shell which was soda-blasted, seam-welded then powder coated before being painted in Ford Diamond White, with RS 2000 Blue stripe decal.  There’s no doubt, it’s an eyeful of a car.

Built to MSA Historic Road Rally Specification and has been a rally car since the mid-1990’s.  It is accompanied by 2018 dated FIVA Identity Card and features an RS2000 V5C and sits on period-correct & genuine 6-inch Minilite wheels.

The Spec is considerable with recognised modifications, which includes but is not limited to;  Dave Brooks 2.0 litre Pinto engine on split 48 Weber carburettors giving 205bhp, Quaife 4-speed straight-cut Rocket gearbox with long first gear and quick change gear lever, turreted rear suspension with four-link location and Panhard rod mated to an Atlas axle with 4.6 ZF LSD, Bilstein struts and shocks all round.  Twin Cam anti-roll bar, 145lbs slipper rear springs, 190lbs front springs, 2.4 quick-steering rack, World Cup crossmember, rose-jointed TCAs, Group1 front and rear brakes and Lumenition electronic ignition complete the package.

To the cabin, the whole interior is fully and correctly trimmed with period style Scheel front seats, trimmed Black.  Included are VDO instruments, Brantz tripmeter, clocks and stopwatch, map lights, Willans full harness belts, 12-point Safety Devices roll cage and hand-held fire extinguishers.  The rally package is further enhanced by 60-litre alloy fuel tank, big alloy radiator, alloy sump guard, diff guard, hydraulic and cable handbrake, plus PIAA spotlights.

Accompanying the car is a modest spares package of some eight wheels and tyres.
