1994 saw the introduction of the Rolls-Royce Silver Dawn to the USA, though the rest of the world had to wait at least another year to get their hands on one.  With only 230 manufactured, and of these, only reportedly 80 in righthand drive, you had to be a ‘somebody’ to be selected to buy one….

Effortless V8 power, imperceptible gear changes and the patent Rolls-Royce ride were combined with exemplary fit and finish to create the Silver Dawn luxury saloon.

Supplied new by Jack Barclay of London in October 1996 and having travelled fewer than 45,500 miles to date, our car has been the property of just five fortunate owners who have clearly loved and cared for this car greatly, both mechanically and cosmetically.

It commands stately presence in Royal Blue paintwork contrasted with Sandstone leather interior, piped blue, which is all presented in remarkable condition.  You could very reasonably assume the rear seats have never even been sat in!

The cabin is well appointed and enormously comfortable, with column-shift gearbox allowing for an uncluttered and less fussy feel to the central control space.  A professionally installed Pioneer stereo with flip-out head unit has replaced the original radio, which, as well as for entertainment also introduces a reversing camera to this car too, which is handy given how far back the rear of the car is.

As well as all handbooks, book packs, spare keys and tools, a healthy stack of receipts and invoices from several respected Rolls-Royce agents and Specialists demonstrate consistent and considerable care throughout the years.  Most recently, a “Schedule 3” service in April 2021 with mileage at just 42,576 miles.  A host of tasks were undertaken, including discs and pads being replaced with the total rising to an impressive £11,000 after the car had received a future-proofing bill of health.  Not all invoices need be like this, but a most diligent owner devoted this sum to be certain that no stone was left unturned….
