1973 Jaguar E-Type Series III Roadster **SOLD**

A superbly presented and expertly engineered Series III V12 E-Type Roadster which has brought many miles and created countless memories for its diligent husband and wife owners since 2012.  Many trips to Europe have been enjoyed in exactly the manner intended.

Originally delivered to East Coast USA in June of 1973, the exterior colour then was British Racing Green as it wears proudly today, though the interior has been altered from cinnamon to the sage green colour which so suits it today.  The gearbox too is now a 5-speed manual by E-Type Fabs of Darlington, rather than the original Borg Warner automatic.  This impressive E-Type has been resident on these shores since 1989, and in current ownership since 2012.

The service history is incredibly impressive, with expenditure delicately described as “considerable”, because who wants the ugliness of counting what conscientious ownership costs.  It’s the priceless memories that count….  (Is anyone buying this?!)   All teasing aside, the approach taken has been more than was truly necessary to ensure a (largely) fault-free ownership which was centred around usage, and not just polishing on a Sunday….

There’s too much to list here, but if you’d like to come and view this motorcar with us then please budget enough time to enjoy the pages of history which accompany it.   In summary; Manual gearbox, comfortable cabin, tight-fitting roof, and that effortless engine combine to make this an essential tool for considerably more miles of touring and adventure…
