1998 Wood & Pickett Mini 1275cc

This enchanting little Mini has led a charmed life as the property of a titled British family.  Painted in Verdant Green to match the family Bentley, it has travelled just 6,800 miles from new.  It features many bespoke upgrades, an automatic gearbox & super-luxurious leather seats.

When ordered new, the required specification demanded of Wood and Pickett was to include air conditioning and automatic transmission.  This request could be resolved easily, as these wishes formed part of the Japanese export requirement for the then Mini Mayfair.  So, a car to that specification came off the production line and went to Wood & Pickett, the renowned coachbuilder in Park Royal, London.  Once there the car had all the Wood & Pickett conversions as specified, many of which can be seen in the photographs, including, but not exclusively, the full Connolly leather and walnut interior, Cobra bucket seats, W&P steering wheel, de-seamed body work, flared wheel arches, driving lights, a Nokia 6110 hand free phone, W&P Superlite alloy wheels, and alcantara headlining.

This little gem was one of the very last of the Wood & Pickett full conversions, and we are sure that there can’t be many extant that have only covered 6,800 miles during its near 30-year life.  Accompanied by an extensive history file, magazine features, original books, and two sets of keys.  Everything is working as it should from the extensive range of dials to the electric windows and stacking disc player.
